As I mentioned, I'm trying to teach Dallas "high five." I was getting nowhere on my own, so I looked up videos on youtube. You should teach them "shake" first, so I've been attempting that. You're supposed to hold treats over their head and when they "paw" at you, say the key word and give them a treat and praise. Sounds easy enough. However, when I attempted it, Dallas does not "paw" at my hands. No. He jumps at them, sniffs, licks, but his paw gets nowhere near my hands! lol But I'm determined. I'll keep at it, and hopefully some progress will be made soon!

I have gotten Si to high five, but I cannot for the life of me get him to shake! He will sit, sit pretty, high five, down, roll over, BUT NO SHAKE! I just cannot seem to get him to do it!

I would love to teach mine to "sit pretty" but haven't a clue how to start. I think that's one of the cutest tricks! Dallas has gotten "shake" so well that instead of kissing me, he attempts to shake my hand now. LOL

Isn't it adorable? Dallas seems so formal now. "Hi, mommy, it's nice to see you *shake*" Congrats on getting Si to do it! Once the figure out what you want them to do, they're more than happy to keep doing it!
